Welcome to the Darketower Journal site. Compiled here are journal entries from various characters from roleplaying campaigns that I have been a part of. Some are traditional pen-and-paper roleplaying games, while others took place in online games and message boards. Either way, they are presented here for your viewing pleasure.

Currently, I am playing in what I like to call “The Heartlands Campaign.” It’s a pen-and-paper game, using the 3rd edition D&D rules and set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. We play weekly in Orlando, Florida. The session journals for that campaign are listed here as well, and are updated regularly.

The Heartlands Campaign
This Orlando, Florida campaign began on December 29th, 2002 and was put on indefinite hiatus after the session on April 26th, 2003. It was set in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting, centered on the Dragon Coast and Cormyr. This was the “official site” of the game, and all the character journals (as well as art and other tidbits) can be found here.

The Vaasa Campaign
My first foray into D&D and the Forgotten Realms, Mierkos Dunn was a part of the Vaasa campaign from September 30th, 2001 until May 19th, 2002, led by d20 author Sam Witt in Dallas, Texas. Though the campaign continued afterwards, those details aren’t chronicled here.

The Mord’sythe Campaign
Following quickly on the heels of the Baal’morda campaign, the Mord’sythe campaign became “book two” in the unfolding story. It involved many of the same characters, but took on a very different flavor than its predecessor. It also played out in Ultima Online.

The Baal’morda Campaign
The Baal’morda campaign was a massive undertaking in Ultima Online that lasted nearly three years. Played out from late 1998 until its climax in early May, 2001, it would have been sorely lacking without the writing and support of an online community that was so eager to participate.

The Darketower Campaign
Korbin Darketower was my first real character. I’d been gaming for a decade by then, but that time was spent GMing games or playing bit characters. That all changed in a homebrewed setting using the Rifts ruleset. I played Korbin in Miami, Florida for nearly a year and a half.
