The Phoenix

Rising swiftly, graceful wings
Burning cosmos, dreamlike things
Consumed yourself with burning light
Lying an ash heap through the night
Morning dawns and you awake
And once again to wing you take
The cycle begins yet again
Further defying Death's leering grin
Each day consuming yourself with your own fire
You rise everyday from the ashes of your own pyre
Immortal legend, living still
All our dreams at one time fill
Thoughts of the mighty Phoenix bird
Stories shared through music and word
Rise yet again to live your dreams
As your fiery plumage once again gleams
